Much of the work we do across the nation cannot be quantified. From the smile that meets a volunteer driver to the hug that greets a new friend to the sense of relief that help is on its way, we’ve been creating strong, engaged lives for 2.5 million older adults and their families over the last 45 years. 

Every single year, our network of Shepherd’s Centers:

• helps over 55,000 older adults through free, informal volunteer caregiving services, such as a ride to the doctor or help around the house
• host more than 100,000 older adults in life-enriching educational and wellness classes
• log over 13,000 volunteers giving 660,000 hours of service

The value of services provided by our volunteer network is estimated close to $16.8 million. The impact we have on the lives of others is PRICELESS.
