Shepherd's Center of Greenbrier Valley, founded in 1999, is a community-based,
interfaith organization for and by older adults 55 and over. We provide
opportunities for life-long Learning, spiritual growth, and community service,
making life after retirement stimulating.
The Shepherd's Center is an interfaith organization sponsored by area
congregations to serve older persons in Greenbrier County.

Programs
FRIENDLY VISITORS links a volunteer with a homebound person for weekly
visits in the home.
ADVENTURES IN LEARNING
All classes are held at Lewisburg United Methodist Church, with the
exception of computer classes, which will be held at Greenbrier Community
College.
Lunch & Program
A hot lunch is served at noon each Thursday during the class term.
Reservations are required. Sign up in advance or call 645-2727 by 1:00 PM the
Tuesday before to reserve a space. The cost is $5 per lunch or $24 from six
prepaid lunches (a savings of $6). An entertaining program will follow. The
luncheon will be provided by our sponsoring churches. Our menus have included
beef stew, soup, lasagna, and other main courses with salad, bread, and
desserts. This is a time for fellowship, meeting new people, and enjoying
delicious food and our many talented neighbors.
Transportation
For the computer class at Greenbrier Community College, a church van will
be available for transportation to and from class, leaving from the Lewisburg
United Methodist Church parking lot 10 minutes prior to class time.
Transportation to and from your home in the Lewisburg area to Shepherd's Center
is available by request.
